Much of the food that is cooked and distributed for free by PremaHome is produced organically on its own fields. PremaHome’s aim is to develop the agricultural activities further, so that in the long tern food production is self-sufficient. This reduces the cost of the food and guarantees freshness and high quality.
Thousands of Neem trees (Azadirachta indica) were also planted on land previously covered with rocks and thorn bushes. This is part of a larger reforestation programme. Less than ten years on, the Neem trees are growing well and PremaHome wants to expand the burgeoning forest.
